grocery shopping
2 couples will be staying on Lake Garda in a rental. We are looking for the best place to shop for groceries. Arriving and driving from milan aiport to regina del garda. Hoping to find something like the coops we have shopped in previous trips to Italy.

Think you mean Riva del Garda, not Regina. If so, then there are a handful of small grocery stores in town, a weekly food market as well as a Coop Supermercato on via Alberti Lutt. There is also another small supermarket at the other end of that same street, just can't recall the name. You'll also pass a few Supermercati on the drive over, so you could just take an exit when you see one coming up, or you'll also see a few in the small towns you'll pass through.

Aha, now that's clearer. Well that's way further down the lake than Riva del Garda, but still a very pretty area. Have only been there once, and briefly at that, so can't help you with Supermarket details, but you'll still find some on the way from Milan - just keep an eye out as you're on the Autostrada and as you pass through the smaller towns closer to Gardone Riviera. Keep an eye out for "Centro Commerciale" signs as they usually mean a supermarket will be part of the complex. I'd say you'll see plenty, but especially as you come off the A4 and start heading north up the western side of the lake.
