I can tell you, for sure, that the ferry between Santorini and Mykonos will take approx 2 and 1/2 hours by fast ferry - Flyingcat. Visit www.hellenicseaways.gr for all island ferry schedules and prices. Have a great trip!

The catamarans or high speed ferries are double the cost but take half the time. You can cut time even more by possibly taking a catamaran from the port of Rafina to Mykonos instead of Pireaus. It is however easier to get to Pireaus as the metro goes right to the port whereas the last time I was there I had to take a combination bus and metro from Rafina.

If you really want to make the most of Greece, it doesn't seem to make sense spending 18 hours on a ferry just to get from Bari to Patra. You'd be by-passing a whole group of beautiful islands - i.e. the Ionians. Why not break the journey with a stop over in Corfu? It's completely different from Mykonos and Santorini and well worth a day or two.
