Well - I'm not sure any of us has what it takes to make a contribution here. Farrermog is far too erudite.
But that's Ok, cos I have learned something. Thx.
However, as this is a travel forum and not a book club, I would really like to hear about the Op's visits to Greece.
So ..do tell. Your favourite places and why. Special memories? Is Greece your favourite country above all others?

Thanks Chimani, but I wouldn't know what erudite means - sounds like a superglue or something Superman might use. Please bear in mind I'm coming from a long way behind you experienced travelers and can't remember much I read anyway - only enough to pass on a few superficial impressions, for what they're worth. I did work briefly for GNTO many years ago, but it's been over 25 years since I was in Greece, other things have intervened, my family have other travel priorities, and I'm reduced to being an armchair traveler who gets vicarious pleasure from the real adventures of the generous people on this site. My travel plans, such as they are, focus mainly on France and a little on Greece.
