Great olive Oil

Like wine, like cheese, like bread, Everyone has their favorites. mine is from Provence.
From the co-op Moulin Jean Marie Corneille in Maussane, an oil favored by all the great chefs. We usually bring back three bottles that come in their carry-on case.

We bought olive oil in Baena, Spain in 2000. It was made from 3 different olives. It was fabulous.

Last year I visited with the Cacioli family in Arezzo and toured their small olive vineyards & factory. I'm sure there are oils just as good or better but this is my favorite. Wonderful flavor plus great memories.

We brought wonderful olive oil (and tapenades) home from Cervo, on the Ligurian coast of Italy.

We have stayed twice at Le Case Gialle, near Bevagna in Umbria. Last November, Mauro entered the All-Italy Organic Olive Oil Contest and won over 3,000 entrants. We're working on our second six pack and he sells it for ten euro per 3/4 liter bottle and a like amount for shipping. You can drink it from the bottle! They have a website.

Go to Oliviers&Co. in Paris and taste 15 different oils from Europe. Amazing differences in tastes. I brought back 2--one very flowery and one very sharp, tangy. Both Provencal, I think.
