Grand Circle Settlement on Danube Cruise

The following link describes the settlement between Grand Circle and about 750 travellers on a Danube cruise gone bad, due to high water. The Massachusetts attorney general was involved in the settlement.

That's a good thing and I hope other tour companies sit up and take notice. Granted, Grand Circle certainly could not control the river, but to not notify people and to not give them the option of canceling etc., no excuse. For some of those folks, that was probably their trip of a life time.

It sounds like a fair settlement, but it's unfortunate that it had to go to the Attorney General. I have friends who traveled at that time with a different tour agency and they all received immediate refunds.
