Granada Day Trips
Does anyone know how to hire a driver for a day to take day trips from Granada to Ronda and back?
We’ll be staying in Granada for a few days and want to spend one day seeing Ronda and the white cities.
Thanks

While feasible, it makes for a very long day. The drive via the speediest A-92 will take about 2 hrs. 15 min+. Distance is around 180 km.
That doesn't include a visit to nearby white towns, such as 2 of the prettiest-- Zahara de la Sierra & Grazalema. The Ronda-Grazalema-Zahara-Ronda loop through the Palomas pass would take another hour, 40 min., more or less, without sightseeing stops or pausing for sheep!
I first visited in 1971 as a kid, snagging a terrace room at the Reina Victoria with its spectacular views, fell in love with the then-very-quaint town and dramatic setting and have returned many times since, most recently in late winter.
But it's now become very crowded during the day, since it's a popular day target from the Costa del Sol.
In my recent experience, Ronda is now best appreciated with an overnight, when the many day trippers have left. Ronda can be a magical place at night (and an extremely busy place by day).
Those who spend just a few hours on a day trip amidst the tour bus crowds might be disappointed.
A day trip doesn't give one much time to explore its pretty Old Quarter nooks and crannies or do a scenic "white town" loop. One can also visit La Pileta caves, Acinipo Roman ruins, Museo Taurino, ReservaTauro, a winery, do hiking or a buggy tour in the gorge or attend an evening flamenco guitar concert --just some activities for a Ronda stay. I was very impressed by the Museo Joaquín Peinado in the beautiful Palacio de los Marqueses de Moctezuma-nice for art lovers.
With an overnight, I think you'd enjoy your visit so much more. (I've done this when moving from Granada to Sevilla.) But you may not have the time. * I'd want at least 2 nights in Granada.
Yes, a private driver for a round-trip Granada-Ronda day can be arranged, but it would be extremely expensive.
