Granada
I am staying in an apartment on the Calle San Juan de los Reyes in Albaicin in June 2007. Can anyone tell me whether this is a quiet street as I would like peace and quiet away from traffic or bars/clubs. That said, I hear that it is not safe to be walking around the Albaicin after dark. Anybody know whether this street is fairly safe and well lit?
Also, would appreciate if anybody knows how regular the buses are from Nerja to Granada.

Hi
Our taxi driver drove us through the Albaicin. As this quarter is very old the streets are quite narrow. So you don't get a lot of car traffic. In fact I think, from memory, ours was the only car when we drove through! We loved Granada and vowed to return. We definitely will stay in the Albaicin barrio - very unique and atmospheric. I can't comment on safety issues. I travelled through when it was still light and I didn't get any negative vibes.
Can I be nosy and ask for the website of the apartment for possible future use. If you don't want to post it here maybe email me the details on [email protected].
