Janisj: I wasn't looking for a tour group for two people. I was hoping to find something that uses a minibus kind of vehicle: perhaps a group of 10 or 12.
Thanks for ideas-- am reviewing (now that our power is back on!)
Does anyone know of any reliable transfer services from Monte Carlo to Avignon or Aix (or would that be astronomically expensive?)
Thanks!

Of course. I was talking about a small group as well. >>Haven't any specific knowledge of driver guides in France, but in the UK that would be cheaper than a mid to high-ish end small group tour for two.<<
What I meant was a driver guide could be cheaper than paying for two people on a small group tour. Not that the group would be two people.

In Aix, we stayed at Aqua Bella and loved it.

Although we trained and bussed, the hotel did have a "deal" with van tours that actually picked up at the hotel. The company was Rendez-Vous Provence. We took a one the Luberon (Bonnieux, Roussillion, Lourmarin) and another to Cassiss and the calanques cruise.
Hope this helps.
