"Dave, do try. It will be fun!"
If you're referring to retirement, thank you, I will, and I'll bet! As for work, I just consulted the gods, and there is no Tuesday miracle. Maybe next time.

Iregeo, It sounds like a fun evening! Sorry we are missing each other's gatherings by one day on each side! Do join my gtg if you are extended!!
Rillefane, thanks for finding my gathering on Trip Advisor for the 26th in Paris. It looks like you are really going to have fun meeting some new faces at both gtgs!
For anyone who is interested I have planned a gettogether on Trip Advisor for the 26th at a greek restaraunt and the jazz club Le Caveau De La Huchette. The link is in my first post above.
I encourage everyone to try to get together at one of these meetings. They are great ways to meet locals and tourists and you may find you make a lasting friend!

Can a longtime lurker come out for the March 21st rendez-vous?!?! I'll be in Paris from the 18-28 by myself. It's my first solo trip so it would be very nice to meet up with others!
Cigale thank you so much for telling us about the Cara Black readings--I love her books! I have a photo of myself with her at NY is Book Country that I never mailed as promised. It will be so fun to give to her in Paris!

Isabel, Rillifane, katiekat222, fbc34, nycjenny, and anyone else who cares to join us:
I've been thinking of a way to identify our GTG group. Something tells me this won't be a problem. But, just in case the Taverne Henri IV is having a hopping happy hour that day...
I will very likely be wearing all black (because that is what I do), but I will try to prominently display a bright, multi-colored STRIPED silk scarf that evening.
I thought of holding a rose in my teeth, or waiving a handmade Fodor's flag, but I have decided against both options.
How will I know you?
