Giverny Gardens - What time & prepurchase tix?

Have lunch at the Antiente Hotel Braudy. Now a restaurant but American Impressionists stayed there to be near Monet when it was once a hotel. There's the artist's studio out back where I took a wonderful picture that I gave them.

About the American Museum at Giverny, not far from the Monet place.

To follow up on the OP's question, we're both enthusiast (not professional) photographers and want to spend some time photographing the gardens. I see that several Europe-based photographers conduct workshops in the gardens with as many as 10 photographers and say that they are admitted prior to the public, so they'll be free to work without people in the frame.
My question is this--do any of you who know the gardens well (and maybe the management) know how to get permission for such early entry by a couple of photographers on their own?
I'd be most grateful,
Mike

Hi, Mike, and welcome to Fodor's. You would probably do well to start you own thread, because the title of this one is not likely to capture the attention of those who might be most able to answer your question.
Good luck!

May 18, 19 and 20 are the 3 options I have for dates to visit Giverny. Of the dates listed (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday), my friend and I would like to go on the day that is the >>least crowded<< and are considering taking the self-guided Paris City Vision "Visit of Giverny in a Small Group" for 109 euros. It means going there in the afternoon.
Thanks in advance for your advice(s).

To avoid long waits in line book online before arrival - leave plenty of time to get to the House/Gardens from Vernon however - at least an hour - arrive earlier and stroll around the quaint quiet parts of the village that few tourists - like bus tours - never stumble into.

Bonjour_Voyageurs,
See the posts above and do it on your own. There is no reason to pay for a tour that will get you there when it's crowded... getting to any site in France at opening time is always the best bet.
