ghost train in uk
The title may result in this message slipping under peoples radar. But for those interested, this radio 4 programme is full of quirky people visiting overlooked railway stations in the UK.
It mentions one of my favourite real ale pubs at the station in Stalybridge, although other real ale pubs attached to railway stations that I frequent are not mentioned: The Trackside a great real ale pub built from a converted waiting room in Bury. Full of trainspotters and boozers swilling down pints of 'Piston Broke' and chomping on real pork pies. A joy to visit.
