Getting to Gormaz without a car?
I am posting this for a friend who would like to visit this site in the middle of nowhere in June. He is willing to walk good long distances, but from where? Or, are there coach tours to this site, and if so, from where?
Any info will be most welcome!

San Esteban de Gormaz is a small village in the province of Soria 71 km west/southwest of Soria, a few kms west of El Burgo, along the Duero River on N 122. I hope he enjoys the walk because it will be very warm in June.

Thanks, Robert, for your reply. It seems you at least know what/where he is interested in!
He will be coming from Segovia and has found a bus service to Soria that runs to/thru San Esteban once a day in each direction. The times don't work very well for same day turnaround (what with the several hours needed to walk to the castle, explore, and return to San Esteban) so he would need to stay there overnight. The only guesthouse/inn he has located is fully booked for the few days in his window of opportunity!
This is really a good little puzzle he has set up and any further thoughts or info will continue to be most welcome.

La Casa Grande de Gormaz has only 11 rooms, 3 singles, so it usually is busy.
There is a property in El Burgo, Posada del Canónigo, C/ San Pedro de Osma, where he may find a room. Tel: 19 975 36 03 62 - FAX: 975 34 06 25
"El Sotillo" is a Casa Rural in San Esteban de Gormaz. Tel: 75 35 05 16

Again, big thanks to Robert!
My friend now has reservations in El Burgo and is on waiting list for any size room that might become available in San Esteban. All of your details really helped get this together. The hotel in El Burgo will arrange for a car and driver to get him to the castle, and will then arrange for a pick up later when he walks back to San Esteban and calls them. He is very happy and made me promise to post this message to say thank you.
