Getting To Bath from Heathrow
We're going to be heading to Bath and London in April or May. We're flying into Heathrow, heading to Bath for a couple days, back to London for a couple days, then back to Heathrow. Don't really want to rent a car. Wondering about train travel on this route. Was considering a car service out to Bath (quote of $130 pounds one way from the service at the Bath Spa Hotel where we'll be staying) and then train back to London where it should be easy to get a cab from Paddington to the Berkely Hotel. Then a cab or train back to Heathrow. Comments?

Don`t take the train back in to Paddington. There`s no need. There`s a special coach link from Heathrow Airport called the RailAir Link. It takes you to Reading Station which has two high speed trains per hour to Bath (they start in Paddington). It`s cheap, fast and convenient. There are three RailAir coaches per hour. Cost about £10.

Check into coach (bus) tickets as well.<BR>We are going from Heathrow to Bath in mid-April, then from Cheltenham to Victoria a week later. All in all, our "open jaw" ticket was £19. We purchased them online from "National Express". After checking the train and bus schedules we discovered that the bus was direct with no changes, not much difference in length of journey, and alot cheaper to Bath than train fares..
