Getting to and Leaving Asolo

We are planning to drive from Venice to Asolo and then try to take a train to Lucerne. Where is the nearest train station to Asolo? If anyone has visited Asolo please let me know what you experienced and what you would recommend.

whatever the nearest train station - Vicenza or Castelfranco Veneto or whatever you need to go back to the Venice-Milan mainline (Vicenza is on it) and go via Milan and Lugano/Gotthard route would be the fastest i believe. schedules: www.bahn.de - German rail site that's the best i've seen for all of Europe. www.trenitalia.com for Italian route to Milan.

Hi Runner - You can get to Castelfranco from Asolo by bus (- or taxi).

From there you can train via Vicenza/Milan as Pal says.
