Yes, compared to our train stations, Paris is a piece o' cake!! I do wish you had gone up to Le Train Bleu however, even just to peek in.

Kerouac,

After looking at a map of Gare d'Lyon I admit I need to make a correction. From the lower level you can easily get to the blue area by using the escalators and a a very short walk; if you need to go to the yellow you can take the short route from the other side of the lower level up the escalators. I must admit that both the blue and yellow are at the same level but from the upper or ground level it is a long walk to the yellow area than accessing it from the lower level. RER trains use the lower (-1 level).

Yes, you are talking about the "Salle Méditerranée" below the newer zone. I can't stand that place, so I always walk along the platform above ground.
