getting from san sebastian to paris by train

Hi, i am a 55 year old woman who is travelling to San Sebastian with my daughter. She is continuing on to Pamplona and I need to return to Paris for one night and then back to London the next morning. My friend has told me there is a train from San to Paris in the arvo (its a Monday in july) I need to know what train station in Paris it arrives at, and approx what time. I need to get a train(eurostar) back to London at 9am the next morning,so i am looking at staying at a hotel around Gare Nord. The train from San sebastian cant be booked until 60 days before i travel, but i would like to know some details so i can book some where to stay .I am a bit nervous about arriving in Paris late at nite so therefore would like to be organised with everything. I am an aussie and have never been anywhere but Bali (12 times though). any advice anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is no through train from San Sebastian to Paris. The best route is to take the local Euskotren to Hendaye (the first town in France) - these run every half hour, and take about 37 minutes. From Hendaye, there are TGVs to Paris Montparnasse. There's one at 1026, for example which gets to Paris at 1600, and another at 1403 which gets to Paris at 1950.

Thanks for that info. I thought you had to get to Hendaye and change. Its probably the 1403 train she was talking about.I was thinking of flying back from Biarittz but would rather take the train to take in the country side. Now i can decide what hotel to stay at in Paris. The missing link in my holiday is almost complete. Cheers.

You could also take the night train from Hendaye. Departs Hendaye at 22h12 and arrives at Paris Austerlitz at 07h13.
