Gatwick to Park Plaza Hotel

My daughter will be arriving at Gatwick at 7 a.m. and need to travel to the Park Plaza Hotel on Vauxhall Bridge Road in London. By the time she gets her luggage it should be around 8 a.m. Should she be taking the Gatwick Express to get to San Pancras and will she be fighting morning commuters at this early hour? Or is there another alternative? Thank you

Gatwick Express is a train so morning traffic does not affect it.It also goes to Victoria not St Pancras. From Victoria she could take the tube, a taxi or a bus.

I think I might have my information wrong. I believe she does have to get to victoria station so the Gatwick express might be what she needs?

No commuter will waste money on the overpriced Gatwick Express, which runs only nonstop between the airport and Victoria, and carries only air passengers

The ONLY reason for using this train is if you're worried about commuters during the rush hours. At all other times (and if it were me, during rush hours too) the Southern Railway train (which has picked up passengers before arriving at Gatwick) is cheaper and takes an appalling four minutes longer.

The hotel is about a two minute walk from Victoria station which is really easy to get to from Gatwick. As the people above have pointed out, you can either take the Gatwick Express (non-stop from Gatwick to Victoria station) or the Southern Railway train (usually two stops between Gatwick and Victoria station). Train tickets are expensive in the UK so definitely worth purchasing your ticket in advance to save money. For Southern Railway, National Rail costs £7.50 if you at least the day before, or around £11 for buying the ticket on the day. The Gatwick Express takes about 30 mins; the Southern train between 32-36 minutes.
