Well Tom I guess you and my mother's neighbor's daughter were right, for some areas. Nothing mentioned in RI on the news. I saw no lines and regular gas prices in RI. Today I drove to/from Hartford, CT. and saw no lines and regular prices. It is odd how this panic and price-gouging only took place in certain areas of the US??? Regards, Walter
The governor and the attorney general of Missouri have put a stop to most of the price gouging here. There will be stiff penalties for anyone who does it. I just saw on the news that one gas station owner is now giving refunds to anyone who bought gas there yesterday.

I bought gas this afternoon in St. Louis, no lines, $1.50 gallon as usual. All the reports I have read say there will be no shortage of fuel. OPEC has promised as much as the U.S. needs. Most refineries expect to be up and running shortly.

I wish everyone would relax and get their information from reliable sources before they cause a panic. My brother in law insisted that my sister get gas last night, even though we told him the news reports said things would be back to normal soon. She spent an hour in line, paid $2.99 a gallon. Ugh.
