Gard/Provence bus travel

I am continuing to plan for a trip to Uzes and, possibly, Aix. In the hope of saving money, I was considering not renting a car for my 5 days or so in the area and relying on local bus companies to get around. Is this a practical thing to do? I would need to get from Aix to Uzes and then from Uzes to places like Avignon, Nimes, Arles and the Marseille airport.

Thanks for any help...

Yes, decent bus service to all these and i believe they even sell day or longer passes for the buses.

Aix to Uzes would be probably by TGV train to Avignon thence by bus to Uzes

trains also run frequent between Avignon, Arles, Nimes and Marseille.

For busses, it depends on the time of the year you plan to visit.

The bus schedule is reduced after September. Not only that, bus schedules are hard to get hold of online.
For example, there were only 3 busses travelling Avignon to Pont du Gard in September, one very early, one around noon, and another in the evening.

Nimes/Arles/Marseille/Avignon are connected by frequent trains.

I'll be there in June. And yes, I've had trouble getting the bus schedules online. The bus companies are no problem, but the format the schedules are printed in are not compatible with my computer--or something. Thanks, greg.

Post a bus schedule URL here and we'll see if we can figure out what your problem is.
