I have a few questions. I’m an American citizen and I have a 12 year old daughter. I plan to move to Romania to marry my fiancé, and I was curious if anyone moved to RO from the USA with a child. When you get married, does it cover the child as well? I also read you have to recertify your status every ten years? Even if married. I appreciate any information or help on this matter.

These are questions best answered by an agency of the Romanian government or, perhaps, an immigration attorney. I would definitely find the answers before moving.

I am sure your Fiancé can find out what needs to be done for you to live together. There is I think more information in Romanian than English on that site.

Do you have the child's father's permission to take the child to Romania? That can sometimes be sticky. Good luck.
