I only started travelling about 7 years ago and so far this is my list,

Honduras, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, France, Denmark, Belgium.

But now that the hubby and I are living in Ireland for the next year and a half, I am hoping to add a lot more to my list.

Following on from ThinGorjus' post regarding age. It would be interesting to see how old everyone is in relation to the amount of countries they've visited.
I'm 28 and have been to 38 countries.

Like I said in my post, 29 countries in 28 years (although I've now counted at least 50 trips abroad, several repeats like France ten times).

I think averaging one a year for your lifetime is the absolute minimum you could do and still be a 'traveller'...!

Jimbo: I think you can consider yourself a traveler without going to a new country every year. Just because I have been to one country that doesn't mean I don't want to go back (sometimes several times) and explore new regions, etc.

The next question is:

Out of all the countries everyone has visited, how many did you visit because you had to go there for your job, and not strictly for leisure?

OK, can't resist: 30 countries in 40 years of traveling, with many repeat trips to some. I went to 7 countries on business initially, but managed to have some tourist time as well.

40 ish...but I'm worried I may never catch up with my brother who is over 60! In fact he just called to say he's heading over to Morocco for a couple of days during an Easter visit to Spain...next thing he'll be telling me he made it down to Western Sahara!

Essentially, 9. Took a train through northeast France but never got off- that shouldn't count. The Vatican as well, though technically independent, shouldn't count.
