Let's see. I'm almost 60 years old, so the memory is fading, but I'll do my best:
United States (48 out of 50, missing Alaska and North Dakota)
Japan
Okinawa
Taiwan
Guam
Philippines
Thailand
India
Pakistan
Saudi Arabia
Libya
Malta
Italy
Switzerland
Germany
France
Belgium
Netherlands
England
Canada
Mexico
Austria
Scotland
Virgin Islands
Cayman Islands
Adding Croatia, Greece (and Santorini?), and Spain this summer.
Whatever that totals - still have many more to go, although I'm not sure that quantity really means all that much.

What a poll....well I have 50+ on my list, most if them multiple times..all continents except Antarctica, 49 of the 50 states (missing Alaska), and all Canadian provinces. (Yes, Geneven, I've been to hokey, traffic jammed Andorra, the Tijuana of Europe, and to delightful Estonia).
When I took my first overseas trip as a "guest" of the US government...a 17 year old enlistee in the Army, served two years in Japan...I was already bitten by the bug...and have been traveling ever since. Now in my 77th year as of Friday next, will only be doing France and Romania this year, so can't add to the list since I've been multiple times to those two (will be barging in Alsace and filming in Romania). Absolutely the only European country I have not visited is Portugal...
Like anything else, it's not the number of countries...it's the quality time spent in each and the enjoyment derived from it!
Keep on truckin' gang! You're a fun bunch of travlers!

I am incorrigible: 56 (that's not my age) and still travelling! 2006 travel will bring it up to an even 60. Been to many places several times and didn't count overseas territories and regions ie US Virgin Islands, Falkland Islands, Hong Kong, Gibraltar, Guam, Saipan.

Wow! What a fun poll! I am so impressed....and envious! I am 27, and have only been traveling to Europe for about 4 years, so I am quite impressed with my (small) list of 15 countries! However, I will be adding 3 new ones in the fall so I will have a total of 18. Eventually I will make my way out of Europe for vacations, but for right now I'm addicted.

U.S.,Mexico, Jamaica, UK (England and BVI), Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy, Greece, Germany, Saudi Arabia (okay, I lived there 18 mos. as a child).
And yes KE1TH, I think Vatican City should count, as should Monaco. That puts me at 13 until May, when I visit Spain. Ole!

This post is so popular probably no one will ever read all the way to my post at the bottom!!!
I live in the States and I've been to 12 countries on three continents; Mexico, Canada, Peru, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Monaco, Vatican, Bahamas.
I can add 4 more countries if you count plane landings- Iceland, Luxemborg, Germany, Denmark.
I can add one more country when I return from Greece in 3 weeks!
Total 17.

I'm jealous of you all. My list includes nowhere "exotic." I'm a safe traveler, I guess.
I count 22 countries (mostly European), and 46 states (I need to go to New England, needing to visit Maine, New Hampshire & Vermont, and somehow missed North Carolina in the south), but only 3 Canadian provinces.

Love looking in on this post. I've been back to several countries (and states)on my list since last year and have added Japan. Completely forgot about Switzerland, Austria, Poland and other West Indian islands. And can I take Iceland if the "layover" was more than a day?
