Fri 31st Aug - Mechelen welcomes 500 tourists for free !!!
Hi all,
In Belgium we have a show called "Fata Morgana" on the Flemish national TV. It's all about challenging a town to fulfill 5 massive tasks in one week, this way uniting the forces of all the people in town.
For the last episode of the season, Mechelen is the place to be. Mechelen is a nice historcial town between Brussels and Antwerp, and is the place where I work.
Now one of the tasks is to welcome 500 foreign tourists on Friday the 31st of August, and Saturday 1st of September. You can even get free accomodation if you want.
So if you are in Belgium on holiday, this is a unique opportunity!

Dear tourist,
What do you intend to do next weekend?
We have a challenge with the Flemish television: Bring 500 foreign tourists from 10 different countries to the historic city of Mechelen and give them a warm welcome. Would you like to help us to win this challenge?
We offer you free food (sleeping accommodation if necessary), nice activities and you will participate in a fantastic television show.
If so, we expect you on Friday, August 31 at 7:00 pm on the market square in Mechelen and, if possible, until Saturday, 6:00 pm. You are also very welcome if you can only help us on Friday night or on Saturday.
More info on www.inenuitmechelen.be, booking: 015 29 78 51.
We look forward to welcoming you to Mechelen.

Hi Myriam, I am working on a project in Italy for the moment, and staying over this weekend, so unfortunately I won't be participating, but at least I can try to add a little something by posting this message on a few websites
