I first heard the French phrase from my Acadian sister-in-law when we were in France in 2002. I thought it amusing to hear it in French, but rather jarring when translated directly into English.

I prefer laverendrye's translation: "J'aime faire du lèche-vitrine" is "I love to go window shopping."
