French Riveria

My fiancee and I will be traveling to the French Riveria in August for our Honeymoon. We will have 3 days to spend on the French Riveria, and wanted to know the best and most central places to visit. We will be flying out of NICE.
Do you have a car? What do you like to do? Without more info Nice is probably your best bet as it is certainly centrally located with easy access to many areas.

If flying in and out of Nice, it's a logical place to use as a base. It has great restaurants, a fascinating market, art galleries and museums (Matisse and Chagall) and of course the Promenades des Anglais along the sea. From there, and with a car, it is easy to get to Monaco, and en route stop at the perched village of Eze. At Cap Ferat, not far away, are the marvellous gardens of the Musee Ephrussi de Rothschild. St. Paul de Vence, a walled village, is worth a visit for its atmosphere, interesting alleyways, and shops. Another super art museum (Fondation Maecht) is nearby. This is only a start! There are many other fascinating places to visit and things to see in the area.

There's a lot of good info here if you do a text search (try typing-cote d'azur). If you want a luxurious splurge, look into staying at La Colombe D'Or (www.la-colombe-dor.com/) in St Paul de Vence.

My brother and I visited the town of Biot, which is well known for its glass. A glassblower let my brother blow some glass which he later bought. 99.999% of the blowing was done by the glassblower as my brother just blew once and turned the pole around a few times.

You may want a souvenir, too.
