French Rail Policy Changes

Beginning tomorrow, TGV and Intercities tickets will be available for purchase 4 months in advance.

Prem's are becoming exchangeable and reimbursable.

Excellent commercial innovations! Since the SNCF doesn't earn anything extra when people choose exact dates and use them, there is much more money to be made by showing more flexibility since exchanges are not free of charge, and refunds entail a fee. This will generate quite a bit more revenue in a world where people do not want to commit to a specific date.
