freaking out here a little bit...train help
ooooooooook...
so, if anyone can help me out here...
i'd TRULY appreciate it.
i'm at the trenitalia site trying to call up and reserve a train for jan 2nd 2007 from:
VENICE st. lucia train station
to frankfurt main [hbf], germany
the train departs s.lucia at around 6pm and arrives in frankfurt at 6am...
it's bringing up the options that i want...
then, it shows which ones are for purchase and which ones are not. at least i am assuming they are not for purchase b/c there is a NO in the purchase column.
but, there is one w/ the little cart icon that means it's for purchase.
however, when i click on it to purchase it...
i get the following message:
'no journey suggestions available'
umm...what exactly does that mean?
thanks everyone...

I've tried it and it only gives me one train for your date..the one with the NO. It means you can't buy it online.
Have you tried the www.bahn.de website ? There's a lot more of options there and they also tell you the price (the ones on german trains, of course).

so, i just remembered that i could book on another site provided by a fodor member. thanks!
here's another question, tho.
the itinerary remains the same...
would it be alright to book my train trip from venice to frankfurt when i get to germany on the 27th?
i could easily do that from the train station by my house...
any and all comments would be really helpful...
CAN'T wait to write up my trip report upon my return...
should be fun!
thanks again

I think you won't have problems to find tickets when you get there..it seems there are a lot of possibilities.
