It was very interesting report, cigale, you covered a lot of ground. We're not too far from Tarbes and Mirande. There's good food around here but you have to work hard to find it.

After almost 6 years, we have a few (very few) local favorites and a few "special occasion" places--unless we want to head in to Toulouse, not too appealing on cold winter nights.

I stayed at Sheila's (of Scotland) house near Tarbes.

Very nice, I have been to a few of those places.
The word Jerry gave me little twinge..but these were your happier times.

Mimi..great to see you provided your SlowTravel report...superb, Nice memories of Jerry, too. You stayed in many towns and places where we did and took some of the routes into the Pyrenees.
