France for a Month
I am planning on spending a month in France in April 2008 and am thinking of 1 week in Paris then one week each in three different areas. I like to take an apartment in an area with good transport so am after 3 areas of France (1 week in each area) that will give me a feel for that area but is easy to move around in.
Suggestion???

We did Paris and then Provence, Dordogne, Loire last year.
Will you have a car? If so, how about:
Train to Paris to Provence
Provence - 7 days
Drive through Lot area to Dordogne - 4 days
Dordogne - 7 days
Loire - 3 days
Train back to CDG

Hi E,
I think that the Dordogne and Provence are best seen by car.
Dijon would be a nice base for a week in Burgundy.
From Dijon, you could train to Mulhouse and see some of Alsace and Switzerland.
