Food option?

I'm diabetic. Will I have to miss all the scrumptious goodies there? Or do they also bake with artificial sweeteners? Should I bring Splenda?

Thanks!

I don't think I've ever seen a patisserie that offered good baked with Splenda, but anything is possible.

You can buy Splenda at any supermarket or grocery store. It's called Canderel.

Thanks for the web sites, zeppole.

StCirq-thanks for the name of Splenda in France. That will really come in handy.

Splenda is not named Candarel in France.

Candarel = aspartame, brand names in the US are Equal and NutraSweet.

Splenda = sucralose. And althouigh I believe the use of sucralose is approved in the EU (I have seen it on some soft-drinks as an ingredient, but not yet the big brand names), I can't re-call ever seeing Splenda in France or the Netherlands (where I live).

We can get Splenda in the UK but have not seen it in France.

The large grocery stores in France have packaged sugar-free biscuits/cookies and similar items. Not the same but.....

My DH packs a Splenda tablet dispenser when he travels, but those really only work for hot drinks.

Let's hope disneymania4444 comes back and doesn't rely on that incorrect information!

Thank you all for the correction. Looks like I better bring some. I prefer Splenda over Equal. Tommie G is exactly right about the ingredients of the artificial sweeteners. Glad you all clarified this ! Thanks! Another thing for the packing list.
