Fodorites are the BEST people!

Well,,,it's finally here, my vacation.
Just wanted to thank ALL the fodorites who helped me along the way and were always supportive and encouraging.
I have met some really terrific people here in these forums and have read many amusing, interesting and educational things here (ok...not the capri pants post)-but for the most part, everyone has shared what they could and been very unselfish about it.
You helped to make a "first-timer" feel much more confident and knowledgeable and ...
you know what I'm trying to say...
THANK YOU!
Will give Rome & Florence your best.
I am meeting 3 fodorites abroad and will be wearing my fodors pin LOL
Pam

Buon viaggio, Pam

Have a great trip and take notes for those of us going later in the year. Will be anticipating your trip report. One other thing, be careful that your Fodor pin doesn't pop off its little clamp.

Enjoy Pam! I'll be following in October, and shall wait for some up-to-date news! The Italians are wonderful, and no doubt - you will fall in love with Italy! Remember to greet - Buon giorno - it works wonders! And help yourself to feel as if you belong there!

Second the thanks to all you Fodorites. My wife, daughter and myself are off to Europe from Australia on Tuesday for five weeks. It is Winter here in Sydney and the weather is sunny and 20 degrees celcius.[Warm]It looks a bit wet in Switzerland but hopefully not too much.I do not know what a Fodorite pin looks like but will keep my eyes out for any crazy Americans having fun and wearing a pin of some sort.Although a seasoned traveller I wish to thank all of you for the great information that is available on this site.Mostly you are American posters and you all seem to share a great sense of fun and travel. Thanks again from Downunder and as you guys say Happy Trails....Stuart.

Have a wonderful trip Pam and Stuart!!!
Pause for moment and use all of your senses to truly capture a moment in time. When I do this I can usually transport myself back to that moment.
Safe, happy travels to you!
Gigi

Knulp, in case you are still reading...the Fodorites Pin looks like the Fodor emblem, the man flying around the blue ball (earth). Just so you know what you are looking for. And have a wonderful trip to Austria.

Hi Knulp

The famous Fodor pin looks like the logo on the upper left-hand side of your screen. It's a little bigger and has "Fodors.com" at the bottom instead of "HOME."
