Flying to Paris for 10 days next month
My husband and I have 4 unplanned days. We have considered going to Amsterdam during that time, but the idea of flying for 9 hours and then taking a train for another 3 +, does NOT sound like fun. We've talked about touring Champagne and Burgundy for some wine tasting. We want to stay inside 4 hours from Paris. All suggestions are welcome.

I think you need to clarify your requirements. Are you going to Paris for a week (as stated on your other post) or for 10 days (as stated in this post).
You want to go someplace that is no more than 4 hours outside Paris but you don't want to spend 3 hours to go to Amsterdam.
You could go to Dijon or Strasbourg in 2 hours. From Dijon you can visit Beaune (as mentioned in your other thread).

My apologies for the confusion. Yes Adrianne, we are booked for a week in Paris, but we have 4 days on the front end of the trip with no plans and we fly into Paris. I guess we're BOTH a bit all over the place for those 4 days. Amsterdam sounds great, however I think a 4 hour train ride after a 9 hour plane ride, is just too much. I would've preferred to fly into Amsterdam instead.
