Flying Easy Jet - advice please
I'm taking EasyJet from Venice to Paris on a 1:15 flight. I understand that I should get to the airport as early as possible as check-in can start as early as 11:15a.m. I didn't pay the extra money to get an assigned seat. Was that a smart move; or am I going to regret it? Any helpful info on doing this flight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi MYC - 11.15 sounds good (- check-in usually opens 2 hrs before departure time).
No need to pay extra for an assigned seat if you don't mind where you sit.
You will be aware of Easyjet luggage limitations/ excess fees from their website.

The good thing with easyJet is that they publish their rules and (unlike legacy carriers) follow them.
You booking will say what time check-in closes. Check in will close at that time so make sure you are checked in by then.
Premium boarding just gets you in the first batch of people on the plane, not worth it in my opinion unless you really must sit in a certain seat.
Other things to remember:
They publish baggage restrictions and they enforce them. They will charge (a lot) for overage.
They charge for food and drinks during the flight. So if you want a drink either bring your own or make sure you have change.

If you are travelling on your own, it really makes no difference. Easyjet does not assign seats, but does sometimes charge an additional fee for "speedy boarding", which means you get some sort of preference. However, if you are bussed to the aircraft, the first person off the bus if often the last person on, and they often load from both ends of the plane.
Early check-in does not guarantee a particular seat, so you just need to get there in good time within your comfort zone. Things can go wrong, but all my Easyjet flight have been fine, and my wife and I have always sat together without chooisng speedy boarding.

I never pre book easyjet seats. As at most airports you are bussed to the plane, so even if you have priority boarding you may be first on but but you will certainly not be first off it. An absolute waste of money!!!!! Also, probably to late now, watch when booking as you have to remove the travel insurance if you do not need it, otherwise it will be automatically added to the price. Otherwise no real problems with them, maybe better to take own food and water as they can b e expensive.
