Florence to Bologna

Help please. I have a very early plane to catch in Bologna. I'll be getting late night or early morning train tickets from Florence to Bologna. On the train websites, I've notice what appears to be multiple train stations in Bologna. Can someone please advise me if there is a train that stops at the airport? If so, which station is it. Also, is there a hotel located at the airport? Lastly, are advanced reservations needed...especially in the middle of the night? Thanks so much.....in advance!!!!!

No train at the airport. Go to the main train station Bologna Centrale station and then take a bus or taxi from there to the airport. Here's the bus schedule:

I don't know about hotels at the airport, but do know that it is close enough to the city center that you might as well just stay in Bologna rather than at the airport.

At late/early hours you can probably buy a ticket just before the train departs.

www.booking.com/airport/it/BLQ.en.html

best hotels with free shuttles have done the My One B4

50 euros per nt

seat61.com trenitalia.it for training Centrale works best

usually depending on where u elect to stay...

Just pick a nice hotel within your budget with FREE shuttle

you will be fine...

If you want to be right at the airport, there's a Sheraton. They offer a free shuttle between the hotel and the Bologna Centrale train station three times a day (8:00 am to 8:00 pm) and between the hotel and the airport from 5:15 am to 11:55 pm.
