Try the Lungarno's sister hotel, Hotel Gallery Art. Not as expensive as Lungarno, but also recently renovated by Ferragamo.

Everybody seems to rave about the Lungarno hotel but I wonder how you contact them.? Two e-mails have gone unanswered. Has anybody had the same problem?

Did you try contacting the Lungarno directly? I didn't have any luck using my travel agent or other on-line services. But I went directly through their website and reserved two rooms that way. I haven't been yet - we leave in four days. If that doesn't pan out, go to their website www.lungarnohotels.it - it lists their two other sister hotels.
