Flamenco shows in Sevilla & Malaga

I am looking for recs for flamenco shows in Sevilla & Malaga where we will be in February. I like he smaller venues where you can get close to the stage. Not interested in the big theater like ones. I love flamenco but I am far from expert on it, so the "best" dancers and musicians are not required. TIA.

Hi Yestravel, I am so envious that you will be spending time in Sevilla! When we visited, we saw a wonderful Flamenco show at La Casa Del Flamenco. The theater is small, and we sat close to the dancers. According to my notes, there are 3 rows of chairs in a semi-circle. We were in the first row right next to the stage. Our hotel recommended this venue. Sounds like what you are looking for.

We did visit Malaga but we didn't see a Flamenco performance while there so I can't help you with Malaga.

hi! Thanks , Karen. It does indeed sound like what we enjoy. I will check it out. Our last time in Sevilla it was quite the effort to get up front seats.

Another recommendation for a Seville flamenco venue, with an intimate setting

We also enjoyed Casa de la Memoria. This trip we have tickets in 10 days (Ole!) to Museo del Baile Flamenco, on the recommendation of Shawn Hennessey of Azahar Sevilla, and eckscrunchy. We just want to experience a different venue.

No experience with flamenco in Malaga.

Any suggestions for flamenco in Jerez would be appreciated. We also enjoy the more intimate venues.

Enjoy your trip, yestravel! We will be just ahead of you by a few weeks, I think.
