Traviata,
Your consolation is you should be there for the end of the Biennal in Sevilla. Hopefully you have reserved some shows already?...

And just because your name "Traviata" implies an extra special apprecialtion for the "cante" Here is a clip of one of the artists of the Biennial, Arcangel, who I would love to see in person..
Also the Rafaela Carrasco show should be good.

amsdon,
I am days behind....we are in Segovia the 13th and 14th and move to Seville on the 15th to the 18th. I am determined to eat, sleep, and drink as much Flamenco as I can while there.....I have lots of notes from these pages and many of your words will be going with me. I have already listened to the cante you sent twice! Thank you!

One of the most challenging parts of our visit is knowing where to go when...you have now made that so much easier with the info you just sent. This is a first time visit to Segovia and Seville...it is a bit overwhelming to know where to begin and with limited time, I want to make good choices....but, I know I'll want to go back as soon as I leave it!
Thanks so much.
