Ahhhh, our trip in Spain ends 9/9/16 and will just have to schedule another Spain trip to coincide with a Flamenco festival in Seville for a future year, i hope!
We are staying near Palau Musica for the first few nights in Barcelona and they say we can hear the music during the performances.
Thank you, Kimhe, for all your help!

And for a future trip, you also have the more compact and plain fantastic flamenco festival in Jerez de la Frontera every year in February/March: http://www.spanish-fiestas.com/festi...enco-festival/

Sorry, that would be late October.
You and Christina were kind to answer my questions about flamenco in Seville last year. Thanks again to both of you. We ended up seeing Andrés Marín at Torre Don Fadrique. Almost mind-blowing, especially for my husband who had to be dragged to a flamenco performance. We had tapas at the terrific Eslava beforehand, as it was on the way. It was a great night.

Diamantina,
This site is always updated on the performances a month ahead: http://www.guiaflama.com/
Here are the major concerts: http://www.deflamenco.com/seccion-conciertos.html
The greatest flamenco event late this fall is in my opinion without doubt the premiere of Rocío Molina's latest in Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris November 3-11: http://www.rociomolina.net/nueva-creacion/

... and here is Rocío Molina in a stunning performance in the foyer of Théâtre National de Chaillot a short time ago. With or without the Bataclan terror attack last November in mind, this is almost unbearably powerful and beautiful:

kimhe - I hope you see this post in the next few days.
We are going to Barcelona a week from tomorrow and will be there a week.
I read your recommendations about Tableo de Carmen and it looks as though we can easily book seats at this point. Do you have recommendations about choosing a "room" - which section to sit in (Balcony, General, Front Row?) and which menu you prefer?
Or are you aware of a different Flamenco show you would suggest instead? (during Feb 8 - 13)
Thanks!

For Feb 8-13, I recommend Tablao Cordobés right on Las Ramblas, one of the most prestigious tablaos in the country. http://www.tablaocordobes.es/en
On these dates fabulous Pastora Galván (voted best female flamenco dancer 2010 by Spanish critics and one of the major stars on the curent scene) and Farru (the rising star brother of famous Faruquito) dance here.
Pastora Galván: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2SBUcrJgeQ
Farru (together with the late guitar genious Paco de Lucía): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrxGsksJusU
Have never eaten at Tablao Cordobés, but you'll normally get the best seating if you have dinner here first.
