Fishing in Cinque Terre?

We're looking for information on fishing in the CT. It will be our first time to Italy, and my husband (who is quite the fisherman) would like to take a couple days to fish there in between our trip from Nice to Florence. I assume one needs a license? Are their fishing boat rentals? Are there beach areas where one can fish? Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

VMS - He could rent a boat privately with or without crew, or I believe there are organized fishing trips if he wants to join a group for a day's deep sea fishing.

There's only one beach (- Monterosso) - but Riomaggiore and other places have sea access from the rocks, so he could presumably fish from there.

Hope this helps ...
