First visit to Prague
My wife and I will be visiting Prague in late March for 3 days and would really appreciate recommendations for hotels ($150-$200 us per night), what districts are the most charming and what late March weather is generally like.
Cheers

I lived in Prague for 5 months a few years ago. If affordable, I like Old Town, between the Opera House and the Square. Nerudova street, which comes down from the castle, is also very charming. If you like nightlife, there is a lot going on near Old Town Square. The jazz cellars are wonderful and there are musical and theatrical venues all over the area. You will notice that the city's cellar level used to be the main level, until so much flooding caused the city to raise itself, many years ago. The vaulted cellars are striking to see.
In March it will be cool, and it is a perfect time to visit as the large crowds will not yet be in full force.
Even the lowest price hotels are extremely clean and usually very spacious.

Take a look at the following recent threads, where I posted too. They should should give you lots of ideas. Personally I really liked Mala Strana (lesser town) area underneath the Prague Castle last November. Liked the area so much, I will return there in 10 days.

Hotel Roma (stayed last Novemeber)

Hotel Residence Mala Strana (this time)

Both have very positive reviews on Tripadvisor.com
There are many other nice hotels, I'm sure. You can also try the booking site

I like old town area. Castle area is also alrite but it is quieter compare to old town area..depends what you like
we were there around Feb last year and it was pretty cold, so be prepared..but we like it because not crowded with tourists

Most charming would have to be Mala Strana. Old Town is convenient, and Vinohrady is beautiful.

All have hotel pics & prices.
Late March will still be cold.

personally i would stay on the "old Town" side, and leave the castle side for visits. most of the night life is on the old-town side [concert hall - upstairs in the old town hall, opera house, puppet theatres]along with the shops, bars, markets etc.
We stayed at the hotel Central - a cheap business-man's hotel but clean and very ..well..central!
good luck!
