First trip

I am looking for free advice. We are traveling to Ireland for the first time in October, two couples, related by marriage, we are all well-traveled in our 50s and 60s. We land in Shannon, have rooms at Dunraven Arms for the first night and then open Town and Country B&B vouchers for the next seven nights before flying out of Dublin. We like history, architecture, castles, art, gardens, pubs and want to have a relaxed pace. We have learned we cannot see it all the first time. Where would you go, where would you stay and what would you avoid? Thanks for any input and Go Pats!!

There is no need to post the same query twice.

Hi Go,

Doesn't matter if it was a mistake or not. You are condemned to being known as a repeat poster for the rest of your life.

Have you looked at the miniguide to Ireland under "destinations" on www.fodors.com?
