Ferry from Sicily to Naples

Has anyone ever taken the ferry from Sicily to Naples? It is overnight, and does offer berths. WE are considering taking a 2 person berth.

I did and found it comfortable enough for one night. On most nights, you can see Stromboli spewing lava (on the night I was on the ferry, Stromboli was quiet). You pass Capri's Faraglioni rocks a bit after dawn (well, I suppost that depends on the time of year) and then have glorious views of Vesuvius and Naples.

I took that ferry from Naples to Palermo but it was many years ago.
We also took the ferry from Palermo to Tunis.

Both were fine but it was so long ago I can't give you any details...if it was terrible I would have remembered......

As I recall, my berth had a sink and toilet in a small side compartment. I don't remember if there was a shower stall. That was in 2007; I suppose things could have changed.

We took that ferry two years ago and it was great. Beds were comfy enough for one night. there's a full bathroom with shower. Food isn't that great---ferry food, so bring your own if you want. It was the best way to get from Palermo to Naples.

To clarify: The ferry I took was from Catania to Naples.

I'm pretty sure my berth had a shower. I didn't take note of the absence of one, nor did my personal notes from that trip suggest that I was particularly grateful to reach my hotel in Naples, as I would expect if I had gone without a shower.

christy907's warning about the food rings a bell, for sure! Sustenance was available, but that's about the best I would say about it.

There are ferries from Palermo to Naples, from Palerno to Salerno, from MIlazzo to Naples, from Catania to Naples and from Messsina to Salerno.
Most cabins have en suite WC and showers. Check the descriptions of the comapnies or with Direct ferries

I do go to Direct Ferries and put in Catania to Naples, and it keeps giving me Palermo to Naples. I just sent an email to them to ask.
