FERRY FROM MARITIME STATION PRINCESS CRUISE DOCK TO CAPRI

Who can help me?? We want to go to Capri by hydrofoil when our cruise ship docks. I seem to remember that we walked through the terminal and turned left and in five minutes arrived at the Molo Beverello Terminal to take the ferry to Capri. Was I correct? And, is this still the same? Please advise

That is still basically correct. Passenger vessels to Capri still run from Molo Beverello which is very close to the Stazione Marittima. There are several operators and most of the vessels are not hydrofoils: the more modern fast craft are not as cramped and noisy as the older hydrofoils.
Car ferries now use a different part of the port further east, but there are very few car ferry sailings to Capri.

Its right next store. You are correct. You might want to consider buying your return ticket as sometimes they do get over booked and if your waiting to the last second on Capri you might not be able to get ticket. Once on Capri you can take the tram to Capri Town explore then take the bus to Anacapri. If you just want a quickie tour of blue grotto you can return about 2 hours before your do to take boat back and right as you walk out the pier the quickie tour round the island and to blue grotto takes off, it takes between 1 and 1/2 hours. As I recall it’s about 19e by the time its all said and done. Re returning to port from Anacapri the central square is where the bus stops. There is a metal post set up similar to what you see at events, on hte right side of the square that’s the start of the line and bus stops there. The ride back can be pretty thrilling as the bus is usually packed and the drivers whip around those curves. Be sure you ask if it is the direct to port and not via Capri Town. The walk from the Princess docking site to ferry is about 5-10 min.

Thanks so much. Shore excursions taken from Princess cruises are sooooo much $. Little do these folks on ship know that it can be done much less. We plan on spending 3-4 hours there and return back to cruise ship. Thanks again
