Ferry Frequency (Tarbert==>KIllimer)?

How often does the Tarbert to Killimer ferry run during daylight hours (located west of Shannon)? Is it continous? If so, is the ride about 15 mins?
Also, in contrast, how long does it take to get thru Limerick city traffic?

Thanks!

http://www.shannonferries.com/

Getting through Limerick traffic depends on time of day, whether it is a weekday or a weekend, whether there is a sporting event taking place and your starting point and ending point.

The ferry leaves on the half hour from Tarbert once an hour. June-Sept every half hour. Runs as late as 9:30 in the summer months.

Bill

Ooops, I forgot to mention. If you are going throughLimerick from Shannon to Kerry, the drive is not to bad as you never enter the city center. Most other directions are much worse.

Bill

Here's a bit of trivia: Killimer is pronounced 'kill eye mur' so if you want to be Politicaly correct, that's how to say it.

And, if you're going on the N-21 toward Adare & Tralee you can bypass downtown Limerick city. Coming back to Shannon can be a problem in the AM. There are lots of Corporate & Industrial 'Parks' out toward Shannon - alow yourself a little extra time. I think it's easier if you're coming down from Ennis.

The ride takes 30mins and is smooth as a babies bottom. I rode on it during very fierce winds a year ago March and it was a unbelieveably calm trip so much so that my sister didn't even know we had left the pier. Good Luck
