Ferries to Greece in November
Does anyoneknow of any ferries that operate between Greece and turkey in November. Suitable departure points could include Marmaris?
If you provide the fares and timetables for two adults it would help.

John

As far as I am aware there are five Turkish departure ports to Greece that are as follows:-

Ayvalik to Lesbos

Cesme to Chios

Kusadasi to Samos

Bodrum to Kos

Marmaris to Rhodes

There are no direct sailing's from Istanbul to Greece although you
CAN sail from Istanbul to the five Turkish ports mentioned above.

There is a weekly service from Istanbul direct to Piraeus but I think that it is cargo only although it may well also take some passengers. Two points of reference for you could be (and I'm
making no promises as the information is limited):-
http://www.turkishpilots.org/NEWS/dbcargo.html
http://www.turkishmaritime.net/marit...ime/index.html

I have to say that the relationship between Turkey and Greece although
improving doesn't help when it comes to finding ferry information between the two countries. One excellent point of reference is the following address, which you may find useful:-

http://www.dis.uu.se/~pierref/travel...e.html#borders

I have never been able to find any online timetable/cost resources for ferries from Turkey.

Kind regards

Bill

The following site may be of interest, John:

http://marmarisinfo.com/transportation/hydro-%20fry.htm

Though it relays info regarding summer schedulles and prices, it may also be used for the winter season. The difference between summer and November should only be felt in what regards the number of hydrofoils that will be departing at the specified times (in summer there may be up to 7 hydrofoils of different companies departing more or less at the same time and in November it could be as low as just one hydrofoil).

Paulo
