Feria de Abril - accomodation questions

So, it turns out that my tentative itinerary through Spain and Portugal has me in Sevilla right around Feria de Abril. Should I stay in Huelva and commute, or will budget hotels there be packed as well? I am also considering commuting via AVE from Cordoba.

When we booked last year, the Sevilla hotels required a 4-night stay during this time. It worked fine for us and we really did enjoy the Fair. We arrived late the first night and left early the last day so it was only two full days with lots to see.
I hope your itinerary is for next year, because if you mean this year all the hotels will be booked to capacity already.
If it is for 2003, book as early as you can for hotels in Sevilla. Normally they allow cancelations until 1 month prior tp the fair without charges.

Commuting from Huelva is a great idea if you don´t want to spend lots of extra cash for peak season rates. It´s barely an hour drive directly down the highway, very easy. The downside is driving after being at the Fair, where it´s practically impossible to avoid drinking.
Cordoba is a longer drive -1,5 hours-, but a nicer city than Huelva.
One good thing about Huelva, though, is that just a 15 minute drive away there are great beaches and beach resorts, like the Barcelo Punta Umbria or the Riu hotels in Ayamonte -a little further away-, near the Portuguese border.
Nope, it's for this year. I actually had no intention of being in Sevilla for the Feria, it just happens to land smack in the middle of my trip, temporally and spatially.
I'll be coming from Lagos anyway, so Huelvo's probably perfect. I think I'll bus back and forth from Sevilla, eliminating the drinking and driving issue. Thanks for your help!

Kim,

We are going to be in Sevilla during the Feria had a hard time booking a room in town. Fortunately, We found Hotel Oromara which is located 15 km away. I confirmed my reservation last week and they still have availability. There is no minimum stay.
