Female Traveler in Spain
Hi,
I'm planning a hiking trip to Spain that going to start from 21 March to 26 March.
It's a 5 night and 6 days trip in Altea Alacant Spain.
It's a group trip. My concern is, is it safe to go on a hiking trip in Spain (especially when it's 5 night and 6 days long trip)?
This is my first hiking trip in Spain so, I'm very concerned about this.

I'm a woman who has spent nearly 2 solo months in various parts of Spain and felt safe throughout. But I wasn't on a hiking trip. Are you going with an organized tour? If so, please do your homework to make sure you are comfortable with the tour's policies and guides and their processes and procedures for ensuring hikers' safety. If you aren't joining a group, make sure you have a plan for what you will do if you encounter an injury or problem while hiking. I know that I won't hike any trails solo unless I have great confidence that others will also be on the trail, just in case I do get injured.
I suspect that others will have much better informed guidance.

Why are you concerned? Is this specific to past experience (which naturally would cast a shadow over such an event) or is someone telling you of known dangers?
Where you hiking specifically and at what time of the year, Spain is a big place?
