This looks like a fantastic trip!
I spent four nights at the parador in Cadiz and I loved it, but not sure of pricing. If you do decide to stay there, take a look at the corner rooms which have amazing views, with a living room and 2 (!!) bathrooms.

Hello all,
As you know, I asked for feedback on my itinerary for May 20/24.
i have been absent on this forum since then. My husband died suddenly of a heart attack in January, thus the trip was not to be.
we had planned to meet dear friends there, but there trip was a shortened version of ours.
they contacted me shortly after and suggested I go with them. They are renting a car and we will be starting in
Madrid 2 nights, stop in Toledo, Consuergo to see the windmills and arriving in Granda 3 nights later that day.
We will then travel by car to Ronda 2 nights stopping in some of the white villages.
Cadiz 2 nights
Return car in Sevilla
Sevilla 4 nights with day trip to Cordoba
Train to Madrid to airpot. 1 night at Hilton Madrid Airport.
Since this is now their itinerary I can’t make changes. Flights are booked.
I would love some suggestions on things to do in each of these places and especially restaurants. One in the group is vegetarian. The other will eat fish, but is not particularly adventurous.
This is a struggle for me. I seem to have brain fog as I go through grieving my husband.
TIA for any advice. Jan

My condolences, Jan, and best wishes.
You would do well to get advance reservations for the Alhambra in Granada and the Alcazar in Sevilla.
For things to do, I think it would be a good idea to get a guidebook. That way, you and your friends can decide what most interests you.
Sorry, I can't recommend any restaurants -- it's been too long since I was there.
You will see some amazing things. I hope you are able to enjoy them.

First of all, Jan, my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your husband. I'm so very, very sorry. Sadly, I too had to walk down that painful and lonely path and only hope that the trip with your friends can bring you a bit of comfort and lift your spirits somewhat.
As to things to do and places to dine, there have been many recent trip reports as well as lengthy planning threads that can help you with your planning that include Sevilla, Cádiz, Córdoba, etc. The Fodor's, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides and Eyewitness Guides can also help.
As kja notes, you should make advance reservations for the Alhambra on its official site, www.alhambra-patronato.org
For Seville's Alcázar, you should also book tickets here-
https://www.alcazarsevilla.org/en/
And for Córdoba's Mezquite, you should purchase timed tickets just a couple of days in advance so as not to have to work your sightseeing around the timed slots still available on your arrival. Purchase them here-
https://tickets.mezquita-catedraldecordoba.es/en
I've contributed to the planning threads and listed my favorite dining spots in your planned cities if you wish to search on my name.
For Sevilla, I urge you to use the following terrific web site, Azahar Tapas. Azahar, Shawn Hennessey, lists those that are vegetarian friendly and lists her favorites by neighborhood here-
https://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletapas/barrios/
I choose just by trusting her very favorites, the ones to which she bestows her top rating, her 5 oranges.
For Granada other Fodorites and I have enjoyed Taberna la Tana, St Germain, Carmen de Aben Humeya for sunset dining with gorgeous, full frontal Alhambra views in the Albaicín, the ancient Arab quarter. And there are restaurants featuring Moroccan specialties as well.
In Córdoba I wouldn't miss Casa el Pisto, the most atmospheric of the Cordoban taverns and try their salmorejo, gazpacho, ajo blanco or mazamorra, the famous Andalusian soups.
Ekscrunchy and I had a long conversation about dining here on her Córdoba plus Costa de la Luz planning thread. Lots of great choices here. And if you´d like something different, Casa Mazal in the Jewish Quarter serves nice Sephardic dishes.
Cádiz is a seafood lover's paradise. My favorites there are the classic El Faro in the Barrio de La Viña neighborhood, both for sit down dining and for sampling tapas at high tables behind the lively bar, along with the charming, atmospheric Taberna la Sorpresa, where one can enjoy a lovely presentation of almadraba caught blue fin tuna prepared in many guides. I also like Ciclo by chef Luis Callealta, where one can have inventive tapas in the bar area.

Again, I´m so sorry for your loss and send cyber hugs to you.
