Favorite restaurants in Italy
Hi All,
Looking for recent travelers for some favorite restaurants in Rome Florence and Milan. We are two late 40s early 50s couple with our college aged children traveling with us. Staying at the Rome Cavaleri, Hotel L' Orlogio in Florence and Milan Hilton.
Love all italian food and prices can vary. Just name your favorite places. Most of our time will be in Rome.
Thanks!

Looks beautiful, but wow! Pricey! We don't mind spending on a good meal, but 210e for the price fixed meal times 4 is over the top for this family! Maybe if it was just DH and I...
Would love some more suggestions! Thanks!

Our favorite restaurants in Rome are Roscioli, Pizzarium, and Piperno. Our favorite restaurant in Florence is Sostanza.
I highly recommend getting the Eat Rome and Eat Florence apps and Katie Parla's Rome app. All have fantastic restaurant recs and maps.
Too bad you are staying at the Cavalieri - nice hotel but terrible location.

ekc, thanks for the recommendations. The Cavaleri is on points so it has really saved us some money on the trip. We originally were going with an apartment, but two free rooms was worth the extra trouble of getting around.
Will definitely check out your restaurant recommendations! Thanks!

We really love ARMANDO AL PANTHEON in Rome. It's a simple trattoria run by two brothers, and very popular amongst Italian families and politicians. Everything is made the way "nonna" would, and prices are pretty reasonable for Rome. We liked it so much the first time ( last summer) we went back a second time. If you're interested, book ahead, especially in the summer months. Location is about two steps from the Piazza della Rotunda and Pantheon.

Spiriti e Forme, Vicolo Scavolino 63, Rome - next to Fontana di Trevi, some outside tables. The owner told me I could have called the number on the website to make a reservation. I had a very nice meal there last September.
