Does anyone have a favorite place to stay in London when attending Wimbledon?

Yes - Not near Wimbledon. Prices in the immediate area will be sky high. You can stay anywhere in central London and be w/i fairly easy access.

What is your budget?

Wimbledon is only a short tube ride from Earls Court. It doesn't really have much in the way of hotels. That's why the players have to rent houses locally.

Do what everyone else does, and get the tube down (the courts aren't in wimbledon - they're in Southfields - get off there).

Wimbledon itself is a rather dull place and you wouldn't want to spend much time there (although the Village is nice if the weather is fine, and you can walk there from the tennis).
